The university health, fitness and recreation facility at Ohio Northern University Sportscenter was renovated in August, 2002, for the benefit of 4,000 students, faculty and staff members. They now have two weight training rooms, a fitness laboratory, and modern sports medicine and training areas. Paramount Performance System and Modular System strength training machines are featured at the Sportscenter.

Services include: University Wellness Program, (faculty/staff fitness program);Exercise Testing Facilities; Aerobic capacity (VO2max); and body composition (BOD POD, Underwater Weighing). Athletic Training Facilities for those majoring in Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Sport Management, and Health and Physical education. The facility has personal training, a 200m indoor track, basketball courts, racquetball courts, wrestling and dance rooms, and swimming/diving pool.

Human Performance and Sport Studies, Ron Beaschler, Department Chair, states, "We chose Paramount Equipment due to its durability, innovation, quality and outstanding customer support. Since we installed the equipment, student, faculty and staff usage has increased dramatically. Paramount equipment allows our Exercise Physiology majors personal training opportunities using modern, state of the art equipment. Paramount Equipment also allows our Athletic Training staff to effectively rehabilitate injured athletes. Installing Paramount Equipment has allowed our athletic teams to increase their strength, power and endurance, and perform sport specific training not offered by other companies."
