MAXIMIZING SPACE USING FITNESS EQUIPMENT
WITH A CLEAN, LOW PROFILE DESIGN
THE PARAMOUNT SP CIRCUIT |
 |
| The
University of Arkansas in Fayetteville has a beautiful Health,
Physical Education, and Recreation Building (HPER) that includes
the Donna Axum Fitness Center. The 225,000 square foot HPER Facility
houses the Intramural / Recreational Sports Program and the Department
of Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Recreation, and Dance. |
 |
Katie Helms, Assistant
Director for Intramural/Recreational Sports, states,“While
the Donna Axum Fitness Center has been operating for many years,
equipment replacement has been a way to implement
student and member suggestions for facility improvement. Such suggestions
include ease of use and adaptability for diverse populations. Paramount
was one of the brands that we chose to re-purchase because of the
positive experience that we had with the equipment, as well as
positive feedback from members. Another priority for the administrators
in the Intramural/Recreational Sports program was the maintenance
of an aesthetically pleasing facility that looks clean and modern. The
Paramount line enables us to maximize our limited facility space
by a offering a clean, low-profile design that is also durable
and suitable for heavy use." |
 |
“The Paramount line
enables us to meet these very different, yet very important goals.
We are very proud of the way that our facility looks, and the modern
design of the SP line enables us to keep the facility looking new
and up-to-date. However, the equipment must also be able to withstand
the heavy use of a University membership base. The Donna Axum Fitness
Center is open 108 hours per week during the academic year, and having
a line that can withstand this type and volume of usage is equally
critical to having equipment that looks good.” |
