There is a fabulous 87,000 square foot Recreation
and Fitness Center on the Lakefront Campus of the University
of New Orleans in Louisiana. The Department of Recreation & Intramural
Sports operates this Recreation & Fitness center for
the students, alumni, faculty/staff, seniors and the community.
As part of their membership, a variety of group exercise
classes are offered weekly. A personal trainer and/or fitness
assessment is available for a nominal fee.
U.N.O. recently purchased Paramount's selectorized strength
machines, the Advanced Performance System. Margaret V. Royerre,
Director, Recreation and Intramural Sports states, "The
equipment is extremely user friendly, well-designed and thoroughly
tested. Although we have not experienced service issues at
this point, we are familiar with and very pleased with Fitness
Expo, the Paramount service representative in our area. They
are totally committed to ensuring that the equipment is always
in tip top condition." |
