| Advanced Performance System
is Big Hit in Kentucky |
The grand new Blakley Family YMCA opened October
2 in Somerset, Kentucky, a town of approximately 19,000.
Executive director Laura Kamperman reports after only 30
days the 42,000 square foot fitness center boasted 480 membership
units representing over 2,000 individuals.
"With such a wide range of members, it was important
to choose durable equipment that's completely user friendly," said
Kamperman.
"We've had wonderful response to the new Paramount Advanced
Performance circuit. People are very excited about the exercise
performance. The equipment is simple to operate and easy
to demo. It's also easy to get in and out of, which is especially
important to our seniors."
In addition to the Advanced Performance System strength training
circuit, YMCA also installed the Cable Crossover system,
Paramount Free Weights, Smith Machine and benches. The facility
involves sports medicine, a wellness center and physical
therapy in conjunction with a hospital outpatient center.
Amenities include two indoor swimming pools, a 5,000 square
foot outdoor aquatics center, a double gymnasium, a 2,500
square foot aerobics dance studio and a large meeting room
for classes and special programs. |
